Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to tutoring services provided by Caperia Education. They are intended to provide a clear framework for our tutoring arrangements and should be read before booking lessons or purchasing a lesson package.

1

About Caperia Education

Caperia Education provides individual online language tutoring and related educational support, with a particular focus on students following International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes.

Caperia Education is operated by:
Caperia Education
Owner: Stefanie Aspmair, M.A.
Reit 9
6306 Söll
Austria
Email: admin@caperia-education.com

Caperia Education works with carefully selected self-employed tutors. The contractual relationship for tutoring services is between the Client and Caperia Education. Tutors provide their teaching services independently on behalf of Caperia Education.

2

Clients and Students

Where a student is under the age of 18, the contract for tutoring services is normally entered into by a parent or legal guardian on the student’s behalf. The parent or legal guardian is referred to as the Client in these Terms & Conditions.

Where a student is aged 18 or over and enters into the contract personally, the student is also the Client.

3

Initial Consultation

Caperia Education offers a complimentary initial consultation before tutoring begins.

The purpose of the consultation is to understand the student’s programme, language pathway, current level, learning needs and academic goals and to identify a suitable tutor.

The initial consultation is free of charge and does not oblige the Client to purchase tutoring services.

4

Tutor Matching

Caperia Education selects tutors based on factors including the student’s programme, language, level, academic needs and learning goals, as well as tutor availability and experience.

While every effort is made to provide a suitable match, Caperia Education cannot guarantee that a particular tutor will remain available throughout the student’s entire period of tutoring.

If a tutor becomes unavailable or if Caperia Education considers that another tutor would better meet the student’s needs, Caperia Education may propose a suitable replacement tutor.

Clients are encouraged to contact Caperia Education if they have concerns about a tutor match so that an appropriate solution can be considered.

5

Tutoring Services

Tutoring is provided online, normally through Google Meet or Zoom, or through another platform agreed by Caperia Education.

Lessons are provided on a one-to-one basis unless otherwise expressly agreed. A standard lesson lasts 60 minutes.

The content and focus of lessons are tailored to the student’s programme, level, learning needs and academic goals.

Tutoring is intended to support the student’s learning and academic development. Caperia Education and its tutors cannot guarantee particular grades, examination results, university admissions or other academic outcomes.

6

Lesson Fees

The current fees are:

  • Individual Lesson – €100 — One 60-minute lesson.
  • 5-Lesson Package – €475 — Five 60-minute lessons (€95 per lesson). Valid for 3 months from the date of the first lesson.
  • 10-Lesson Package – €920 — Ten 60-minute lessons (€92 per lesson). Valid for 6 months from the date of the first lesson.

All prices are stated in euros (€). The applicable price is the price communicated to the Client at the time of booking or purchase.

7

Lesson Packages

Lesson packages are intended for use by the student for whom they were purchased and may not be transferred to another person without the prior agreement of Caperia Education.

The validity period of a lesson package begins on the date of the first lesson taken under that package. The 5-Lesson Package must be used within 3 months of that date, and the 10-Lesson Package must be used within 6 months of that date.

Lessons not used within the applicable validity period expire unless an extension has been agreed by Caperia Education.

Caperia Education may grant an extension in exceptional circumstances, including prolonged illness or other circumstances that reasonably prevent the student from using the lessons within the applicable validity period.

8

Booking and Scheduling Lessons

Lesson times are arranged in coordination with Caperia Education, the tutor and the Client/student, taking into account availability and the student’s tutoring needs.

Clients and students are responsible for attending lessons at the agreed time and for taking account of any differences in time zones.

Where lesson times are communicated in different time zones, reasonable care will be taken to avoid misunderstandings. Clients are nevertheless encouraged to verify the applicable local time before each lesson.

9

Cancellation and Rescheduling

A lesson may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge if at least 24 hours’ notice is given before the scheduled start of the lesson.

Where a lesson is cancelled or a request to reschedule is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the lesson will normally be charged in full. In the case of a lesson package, the lesson will normally be deducted from the remaining package balance.

If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson without prior cancellation, the lesson will be charged in full.

In the event of documented illness or a genuine emergency, Caperia Education may, at its discretion, waive the late cancellation charge or allow the lesson to be rescheduled without charge. The Client may be asked to provide reasonable evidence of the circumstances.

If a tutor or Caperia Education needs to cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled and will not be charged as a completed lesson.

10

Late Arrival

If a student arrives late for a lesson, the lesson will normally end at the originally scheduled time and the full lesson fee will apply.

If the tutor is late, the student will receive the full booked teaching time or an appropriate alternative arrangement will be made.

11

Payment

Individual lessons must be paid in full before the scheduled lesson. Lesson packages must be paid in full before the first lesson of the package.

Payment may be made by bank transfer or PayPal. Payment instructions will be provided to the Client by Caperia Education.

Where payment is made by bank transfer and has not yet been credited to Caperia Education before the relevant lesson, Caperia Education may request reasonable proof that payment has been made.

Caperia Education reserves the right not to commence or continue tutoring where payment due for the relevant lesson or package has not been made.

12

Right of Withdrawal

Where the Client is a consumer and the tutoring agreement is concluded at a distance, the Client generally has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law. The withdrawal period generally begins on the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Client must inform Caperia Education of the decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement sent to admin@caperia-education.com or to Caperia Education at Reit 9, 6306 Söll, Austria.

If the Client wishes tutoring to begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, the Client must expressly request that Caperia Education begins providing the tutoring services before the withdrawal period has expired.

Where tutoring has begun during the withdrawal period at the Client’s express request and the Client subsequently exercises the right of withdrawal, the Client is required to pay for the services already provided up to the time of withdrawal, in accordance with applicable law.

Where a service has been fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period following the Client’s express request for early performance and the Client’s acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal will be lost upon full performance, the statutory right of withdrawal may no longer apply.

Caperia Education will provide the Client with the legally required information concerning the right of withdrawal and, where applicable, a model withdrawal form.

13

Technical Requirements

The Client is responsible for ensuring that the student has access to a suitable device, a stable internet connection and the software or applications required to participate in online lessons.

Caperia Education is not responsible for technical problems arising from the student’s equipment, internet connection or other circumstances outside Caperia Education’s reasonable control.

If significant technical difficulties arise on the tutor’s side and prevent a lesson from being delivered appropriately, the lesson will be rescheduled or otherwise credited to the Client.

14

Learning Materials

Tutors may provide students with worksheets, presentations, exercises, feedback and other educational materials for use in connection with tutoring.

Materials created or provided by Caperia Education or its tutors remain protected by applicable intellectual property rights and are intended for the student’s personal educational use. They must not be reproduced, published, sold, distributed or made publicly available without permission.

Students may submit their own school materials and assignments for use during tutoring provided they are entitled to share them.

15

Academic Integrity

Caperia Education supports students in developing their own knowledge, skills and academic independence.

Tutors may provide explanation, guidance, feedback and support with assignments and assessments but will not complete assessed work on behalf of students or knowingly assist with plagiarism, cheating or other forms of academic misconduct.

Students remain responsible for ensuring that work submitted to their school or examination organisation complies with the applicable academic integrity requirements.

16

Communication

Tutors may communicate directly with students by email where this is necessary for the organisation and delivery of tutoring, including sharing learning materials, assignments, feedback and lesson-related information.

Communication between tutors and students must remain professional and related to tutoring.

For students under the age of 18, the safeguarding requirements set out in Caperia Education’s Safeguarding Policy also apply.

17

Safeguarding

Caperia Education is committed to providing a safe and respectful online learning environment.

Tutors, students and Clients are expected to comply with appropriate professional and behavioural standards.

Further information is provided in the Caperia Education Safeguarding Policy, available on our website.

Safeguarding concerns may be reported to: safeguarding@caperia-education.com

18

Privacy and Data Protection

Caperia Education processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Further information about the collection, use and storage of personal data is provided in the Caperia Education Privacy Policy, available on our website.

19

Ending the Tutoring Arrangement

The Client may choose not to book further individual lessons at any time.

Where a lesson package has been purchased, cancellation of the tutoring arrangement does not automatically entitle the Client to a refund of unused lessons, subject to any statutory rights of withdrawal or other mandatory consumer rights.

Caperia Education may suspend or end a tutoring arrangement where there is a serious or repeated breach of these Terms & Conditions, inappropriate behaviour towards a tutor or other person, a safeguarding concern, non-payment, or another circumstance that makes continuation of the tutoring relationship unreasonable.

Where Caperia Education ends a tutoring arrangement for reasons not attributable to the Client or student, any prepaid lessons that cannot reasonably be provided will be refunded or an appropriate alternative arrangement will be offered.

20

Liability

Caperia Education will provide its services with reasonable professional care.

Caperia Education does not guarantee particular academic results and is not responsible for decisions made by schools, examination organisations, universities or other third parties.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would not be permitted under applicable law.

21

Changes to These Terms

Caperia Education may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The Terms & Conditions applicable to a particular booking or package will normally be those provided to or accepted by the Client when the relevant contract is concluded, unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed with the Client.

22

Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions and contracts with Caperia Education are governed by Austrian law.

Where the Client is a consumer resident in another country, this choice of law does not deprive the Client of any mandatory consumer protection afforded by the law of the country in which the Client has their habitual residence where such protection is applicable.
